The top four jacaranda walks on Sydney's North Shore

Spring has sprung northsiders and that means its time for the local north shore jacaranda trees to burst into bloom! Here's our pick of the top four spots to enjoy the beautiful show - just remember to be mindful of residents, be aware of the traffic and give the local businesses a visit while enjoying the jacs.

McDougall Street, Kirribilli

Probably Sydney's most famous jacaranda street. Expect to see selfie hunters, professional camera crews, brides, families and bus tours trying to capture the perfect shot of this pretty canopy of purple beside Milson Park and Careening Cove. Why not pop into nearby Foys Kirribilli to check out the trees (and the tourists) from the balcony or the newly refurbished harbourside deck - coffee, cocktail or beer in hand.

Nearby attractions: Ensemble Theatre, Careening Cove, Milsons Park playground, Sydney Harbour Bridge Bars, cafes, restaurants: Foys, The Flying Bear, The Botanist, Bloomingales, Oski Kirribilli, BTB Kirribilli, the Kirribilli Hotel, Bamfords.

Clarke Park, Lavender Bay

Muston Park, Chatswood

As well as the annual jacaranda display, you might also find some flowers still in bloom on the wisteria tunnel, which features on the cover of our current Willoughby edition. Kids will love the playground, which comes complete with a rocket ship!
