North Sydney's best Melbourne Cup events

On November 1st, leave work early and let the bubbles flow at any one of our area's dazzling Melbourne Cup events! To avoid disappointment, make sure to contact the venue to book your table ahead of time.


The Sailor

  • 12:30PM-2:30PM

  • $149pp


  • Dust off the fascinators and head to The Sailor to celebrate the race that stops the nation with two hours of bottomless champagne and a delicious brunch of canapes, prawns, oysters and fritto misto.

North Sydney

The Greenwood Hotel

  • 11:30AM-3PM

  • GA Tickets $69pp, VIP tickets $169pp


  • Watch the race on North Sydney’s biggest outdoor screens! GA tickets will provide you with a glass of bubbly, fresh seafood and grazing boards on arrival. If you’re feeling fancy, an upgrade to VIP entry will grant you exclusive access to the Members area as well as premium canapes, sweet treats and entertainment. Stick around, because there’ll be DJs playing from 3PM.

The Greens

  • Giddy up for the cup! Your ticket includes a four-course table share featuring burrata, seafood, and smoked meats, as well sweeps, a best-dressed competition, and four hours of drinks and live music. What’s not to like?

The Green Moustache

  • Three ½ hour time slots beginning at 11:30AM and ending at 5PM

  • Dine on a seasonal, three-course lunch menu featuring crispy skin pork belly, harissa heirloom carrots, tuna sashimi and more. Enjoy it alongside a deluxe, three-hour beverage package. Sweeps will be running and the venue will be bringing back their legendary champagne tower spectacle!

The Treehouse Hotel

  • The Melbourne Cup – Cabaret style! The Treehouse Hotel will be hosting a suave, Cabaret-themed three-course lunch. Your ticket will also include a drinks package, live music, and access to a photobooth, so don’t forget to dress up!

  • RAFI will be hosting a day of fun with a series of shared, banquet-style dishes inspired by the coast of Sydney such as tomato, tahini and chilli tuna, miso toothfish skewers and wagyu sirloin steak. Be one of the first to experience the Melbourne Cup at one of Sydney’s most talked about new venues!

  • Glorietta’s will be hosting a day of festivities with a four-course Italian lunch menu plus a Champagne, wine, Furphy and Aperol Spritz package.

  • Catch all the action of the race that stops the nation at Norths. Tickets include drink on arrival, 3 course meal, entertainment including MC Simon Gillespie and The High Rollers Big Band. There's best dressed prizes to be won and you can catch all the action live and loud in Norths Auditorium with TAB facilities in venue.

  • Looking for somewhere to celebrate AFTER the Cup? Mexican joint Taqueria will be serving up delicious cocktails with a great atmosphere all evening. They're offering a drink on arrival with a 6-course set menu. Highlights include the cactus and corn tostada, taquitos dorados and the beef barbacoa main.

McMahons Point

Blues Point Hotel

  • Celebrate the spring racing season at the Blues Point Hotel. Your ticket will include a three-course set menu featuring a seafood plate and drink on arrival. TAB facilities will be available at the venue, and don’t forget to break out the fascinators as there’ll also be best dressed and best hat competitions!

The North Spoon

  • $150pp


  • The North Spoon will be coming alive this Cup Day! Celebrate in style with Prosecco, freshly caught seafood, handmade pasta and slow-roasted lamb shoulder.

  • Melbourne Cup lunch at Piato is totally customisable! You will be able to order from their regular menu or choose between 1, 2 or 3-course set menus. There will also be screens in all areas so you’ll never miss the action.

Commodore Hotel

  • Cup Day at The Commodore will feature all the good stuff – a three-course lunch, a glass of Champagne or schooner of Furphy on arrival, best-dressed prizes and racing on all screens. Lunch will include wasabi and yuzu poached prawns, pan-seared barramundi, petit fours and more.


Kirribilli Hotel

  • Kick back on the terrace with canapes or dine on a delicious, three-course meal. Both with a glass of bubbly, of course.

The Botanist

  • $130pp


  • Indulge in a glass of Tattinger followed by a decadent, botanical-inspired banquet featuring grilled scallops, Murray cod and Angus ribeye. The Botanist will also be organising best-dressed prizes, sweeps, and live music by Jayden Sierra.

Foys Kirribilli

  • Celebrate Cup Day waterfront this year! Enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival and feast on a three-course shared banquet of burrata, tiger prawns, oysters, confit salmon and pork ragu pappardelle as you enjoy the race on the big screens.

Neutral Bay


  • $109 (+ $50 for a two-hour beverage package)


  • Watch the action live whilst dining on SoCal-inspired dishes such as Kingfish aguachile, Blue eye cod with mole verde and Denver steak served with warm tortillas and habanero mango salsa. Your ticket includes a marg on arrival and you’ll also be able to add on a two-hour ‘Sunshine State Sips’ beverage package for an additional $50pp.


Minskys Hotel

  • Head to Minsky’s this race day and enjoy a drink on arrival and a delicious, three-course shared lunch of arancini, salmon, bruschetta, steak, truffle, and more!


The Buena

  • $125pp


  • Your ticket includes a three-course lunch with a glass of sparkling or beer on arrival. There’ll be an after-party starting at 3PM, and don’t forget to don your best frocks as The Buena will be hosting a best-dressed competition!

The Mosman Rowers

  • 12PM-3:30PM

  • $120pp members, $130pp non-members


  • Dress to impress with champagne in hand at The Mosman Rowers. Dine on a tasty, three-course lunch while overlooking Sydney's glistening foreshore. Menu highlights include steak frites, burrata and smoked NZ King salmon. The Rowers will also be providing a drink on arrival and giving away prizes for best fascinator.

Lane Cove

The Alcott

  • Your favourite Melbourne Cup festivities – hosted by a drag queen! Join Choncita Grande for an afternoon of entertainment that includes a drink on arrival, sweeps, prizes and a three-course lunch.
