Experience the bright lights of Vivid without having to head to the CBD.
Follow the path from Dr Mary Booth lookout, down the stairs to Captain Henry Whitehouse Reserve and take in the Opera House, the city lights and the Harbour Bridge from this dress circle vantage point. Always beautiful, expect crowds taking pics from angles similar to our video captured during a previous year's Vivid Sydney. This is also the prime spot for viewing Written In The Stars, the Vivid drone show that's the biggest the Southern Hemisphere has seen to date! Check out https://www.vividsydney.com/event/light/written-in-the-stars for the dates of the show.
Bradfield Park, Milsons Point
Continuing your walk around the foreshore to Milsons Point, you can get up close and personal with the Harbour Bridge illuminations. Why not head up the hill to Kirribilli and climb the stairs of the bridge and walk to the halfway point? You'll see the whole harbour - from lights on building to those on boats too.
Luna Park, Milsons Point
The bright lights of Luna Park just add to the spectacle and shouldn't be missed! There are also Vivid Sydney performances happening at the Big Top. Check out their website for more info.
Less obvious Harbour Bridge and city views tucked around the corner from Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden. Expect Barangaroo and Darling Harbour glimpses too.
Blues Point Reserve, McMahons Point
A front row seat to the majestic Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. Expect it to be busy so try to catch public transport. The Sydney ferry loop from Circular Quay to Barangaroo that stops at McMahons Point and Milsons Point is a great way to see the lights from the water.
Carradah Park, Waverton
A lesser known but excellent vantage point for taking in the Harbour Bridge, Barangaroo and also the reflections of the city and the boats on the water in the harbour.
Start out at Cremorne Point Wharf and head halfway along the walkway for views of the bridge and the sparkling city.
Wild Lights at Taronga Zoo, Mosman
Taronga Zoo is going wild again for Vivid this year with breathtaking animal lanterns as well as purpose built inclusive installations for guests of all ages and abilities.
